It’s been a busy few weeks, but we are delighted to announce that we were shortlisted in HM Government and Tech UK’s prestigious infosec competition to find the UK’s Most Innovative Small Cyber Security Company of the Year!
The competition is run in the lead up to InfoSecurity Europe, the largest and most comprehensive information security event in Europe which is being held in London next month. The national competition set out in March to find the most innovative small cyber security companies with an impressive judging panel consisting of industry experts and business leaders such as the CTO of Cisco International and the technical director of CESG.
Cyber security has always been an integral part of our services, and we believe our hosting and cloud solutions provide our customers with a rock-solid security foundation. Not only are our data centres ultra secure, ISO27001 compliant and in geographically diverse locations, but we also offer IP restrictions, 2FA (two factor authentication), SSH & RSA keys and encrypted backups. On top of this, we regularly perform threat scans and analysis as well as penetration testing on our core structure and customers’ systems. We believe our approach to data security is of an exceptionally high quality and so we were absolutely delighted for our hard work to be recognised!
We were given one week to prepare our final pitch and called in on a Monday morning to UKTI where the judges awaited. Director Andy Grant and Solutions Architect Simon Webb did a fantastic live-pitch and fielded some challenging questions, but unfortunately the competition was tough and we did not proceed to the final. However, the guys did us proud and we were incredibly pleased to have reached the semi-finals, so we will hang our certificate on the wall with pride.
And who knows, maybe we’ll try again next year?
