We have updated our cyber security policy to make our services even more secure and are now offering free SSL certificates to all our hosting customers, old and new, to help make the web a safer place. This sets a precedent that we hope will encourage other businesses to follow. We strongly believe this will help our customers strengthen their cyber security measures and, in turn, protect their own customers against prying eyes online.
In the words of director Andy Grant: “It’s an ambitious policy, but it will have an enormous effect on our customers, and it means smaller businesses can protect their customers online without compromising limited IT budgets. We want the web to be a safe place for banking, shopping and browsing alike, regardless of resources.”

We have already started rolling out the new policy and hope that within the next months all our new and existing hosting customers will have been offered a free SSL certificate for their sites. Once installed, the SSL certificates will ensure all communication between the sites and visitors is encrypted and safe from eavesdropping. Protected websites will display a visible padlock in the address bar.
