Tell us a little bit about your background and career so far.

I have been interested in technology my entire life. I’ve been the go-to tech support for my friends and family for as long as I can remember too! I worked in retail when I was younger and for a number of years in both front-line customer service and tech support for a large mobile phone company, I than had to put my career on hold to become a full-time carer at home.

After doing that for just over a decade, I had a unique opportunity to seek out and go for the career that I wanted, and that easily brought me back to the tech industry. I studied hard over the next few months, gaining multiple certifications before finding and then being accepted into my role here at Cloud Heroes.

 

What do you like most about your current role?

I always enjoy helping people out and helping solve technical problems. It’s what I loved about being in tech support previously and it’s been great to be able to get back into it, learning new systems and processes to be able to help to the best of my ability. My personal motto has also been to “use my geek powers for good”.

 

What do you bring to the team?

I like to think I bring enthusiasm, energy, dedication, a positive attitude and a wealth of Dad jokes plus plenty of sachets of Double Chocolate Mocha.

 

How does the team work together and what do you achieve for your clients?

Our team works so well together. It is also such a wonderfully welcoming and relaxed environment in the office, whist at the same time remaining dedicated and focused on our goals. That being to provide our customers with the best possible and most reliable services that we can offer, and being on hand should our customers need our assistance in any way.

 

What does the future here look like for you?

The future here for me looks very bright and positive. I’m finding my feet having been here for a few weeks now and I’m already looking forward to where I can help in the company’s progression and evolution moving into 2024 and beyond.

 

What interests you outside of work?

At heart I’m a complete geek and nerd, so pretty much anything geeky or nerdy that you can think of I will probably be interested in. I’m also a very sociable person, which is why I’m an avid board and card gamer, as well as a big fan of D&D and other roleplaying games. I even don my armour and weapons a few times a year and get involved in LARP – Live Action Role Play (imagine Dungeons & Dragons enacted, that’s basically it). I’m also a keen actor and get regularly involved in local amateur dramatic productions, as well as going to the theatre and cinema whenever I get the chance.
